Over $100 Billion Disappears from U.S. Banks in One Week

he 25 largest banks in the country had a rather exciting first week of January. According to data released by the Federal Reserve, depositors withdrew an astounding $114.1 billion during the week ending January 9. A significant portion of this withdrawal can be attributed to the expiration of the Transaction Account Guarantee (TAG) program.

The TAG program provided extra insurance protection for depositors, ensuring their balances, in case their bank becomes insolvent. Extending TAG was part of the fiscal cliff negotiations, but it didn’t make it into the final agreement.

100+ Epic Concept Design

Media_httpwwwandysowa_hhcgd

Really love this design concept just because it is so helpful to so many people. We often take for granted our sight – but we shouldn’t. I think more designers should be thinking outside of the box like this in order to help all people enjoy products, and keep people with disabilities in mind. There are plenty of people out there that would really love to be able to enjoy little things like a rubiks cube. Not only is this concept beautiful but its intention is pure – WIN. I am not sure if this concept has actually been put into play as a tangible product but it should be! Great idea.

100 Famous Guitar Riffs - Video

In case you missed this, in a promotional video for the Chicago Music Exchange, Alex Chadwick plays 100 famous guitar riffs in one take, a chronological history of rock ‘n’ roll. The amazing part is that he recorded this in one take, seamlessly transitioning from one song to the next with an incredible amount of agility and grace. After listening a few times you might believe that this could be one twelve minute song and not 100 riffs. Try not looking at the video while it plays and see how many riffs you can name.

He went with plans to discuss a potential partnership; Rakuten wanted to make Pinterest the default place for its shoppers to set up wish lists for things they'd like to buy.

Partnership talks went well, and Rakuten said it would do the deal, but only if it could also invest in Pinterest.
