Adorable Illustrations by Paolo Domeniconi

Media_httpimgsabduzee_cctjo

Nothing like ending the week with a good set of quality illustrations! We had a great run this week and this Friday it wouldn't be any different, right? Today I've selected some amazing works for you.

Paolo Domeniconi, an Italian artist, does some gorgeous, adorable illustrations. I'm amazed on how good these are. I really love this style, which looks colored by pencil. It doesn't have that smooth feel... it's rough, but awesome! For more of Paolo's work, please visit his portfolio at DeviantART. He'll definitely appreciate it. Cheers.

At first glance, it does seem that doodling has a negative connotation equating to being distracted from the main activity at hand. You aren’t paying attention on what you’re supposed to be focused on, because it bores you. As a result, you miss out details of the meeting or lecture and eventually regrets not paying attention to it. But there’s a plus side to doodling: when we doodle, we do it semi-consciously. This subconsciousness is how we actually access our most creative self and come up with brilliant ideas for even our most troubling problems.

Frans Hofmeester filmed his daughter Lotte every week from birth to 12-years old and the put together this time-lapse film that shows her growing up in less than 3 minutes. He also created a time-lapse film of his son Vince going from baby to 9-years old in just over 2 minutes. Both films are very touching and really hammer in the bittersweet concept, that in raising children, the days are long but the years are short.
