10 Creative Logo Re-Designs

Media_httpenfuzedcomw_leamc

I’m a huge fan of Dribbble, I’ve spent countless hours browsing the site, getting ideas, and sparking my own creativity. If you haven’t heard of Dribbble by now then it’s safe to say you’ve been hiding under a rock so I suggest you go check it out now.

Anyways, one of my favorite playoffs that I followed was the Global (Re) Brands Playoff. Designers had their go at re-designing a known companies logo that they thought needed it, or that they just felt like giving their own take on. So I picked 10 of the most creative ones to show off below.

Who Bought One Million BlackBerry 10 Devices?

Media_httpallthingsdc_vobkj

When BlackBerry announced the largest single handset purchase in the company’s history earlier this week — one million BlackBerry 10 devices — it refused to name the “established partner” to which they’d been sold. “We are bound by confidentiality,” BlackBerry spokesman Adam Emery told AllThingsD when asked who the mystery customer might be.

At the time the announcement was made, speculation was that the “established partner” was most likely a carrier. And since it occured the same week that AT&T and Verizon both began taking preorders for the BlackBerry Z10, some assumed that one of them was responsible for that one-million-device order.

10 Tricks to Make Yourself a Dropbox Master

Media_httpimggawkeras_ddiwe

Dropbox is a robust independent file syncing tool (which Apple once tried to buy) that recently hit the 100m user milestone. It's arguably the most popular cloud service around, and for good reason.

One of the key advantages of Dropbox is that it's so easy to use—you simply set it up and then forget about it — but if you dig a bit deeper into the application you'll find that it has more strings to its bow than you might have realized.

10 Best Mobile Apps: Easier Social Media Marketing on the Go

Media_httpfreelancesw_wdwbb

My personal experience as a freelancer so far has included lots of juggling kids, errands, running a household, family and friends who think you don’t need to work during the day, and – as a result – trying to get some bits of work done here and there. My iPhone has been my saving grace in the last couple of years. I can easily check and send emails, keep up with social media news, even make edits to documents in Drive using my Google mobile app.

However, I have found that one of the best ways to take advantage of my time – while waiting in the drive-thru line, waiting for an appt., or watching my kids at sports events – is to get some social media marketing done. This helps with efficiency when I am sitting down at my computer trying to get some writing done – I can easily tell myself that I do not need to get onto Twitter or Google+ because I just updated them earlier while sitting at the doctor’s office.

What we know about BlackBerry 10

Media_httpwwwblogcdnc_bhzkf

Despite -- or rather thanks to -- major delays in releasing BlackBerry 10, RIM has let quite a bit slip about its upcoming operating system and related BB10 devices. We've had more than a year to absorb leaks, rumors and official information, after all, so it's no surprise that we have a very good idea of what to expect when Waterloo pulls back the curtain on January 30th. That doesn't mean things are as plain as day, though; the deluge of blurrycam shots and carrier screens have provided an almost indigestible amount of information about BB10, and we don't blame you if you can't keep the story straight. We're here to parse the madness, though, so read on to find out what to expect at tomorrow's launch event.
