Google has updated its YouTube iOS app to version 1.3, with the most notable improvement being support for live streaming.
Oddly enough, the update comes right after Coachella, which was streamed to YouTube this weekend. There's always next year, we guess.

Deutsche Telekom, a German telecommunications company, has developed a website that allows users to monitor cyberattacks as they happen.
Sicherheitstacho.eu (loosely translated as "security tachometer") displays events as they happen, giving the time of the attack, country of origin and the intended target. While watching the site can be quite hypnotic, its relevance for the everyday user is limited (unless your website or network is currently under attack, in which case, the site still probably won't help much).
For Deutsche Telekom, however, the information will be invaluable. Sicherheitstacho allows the company to compile data for thousands of incidents daily, which will grant insight into common targets and attacker demographics.
Far and away the most belligerent country is Russia, with an impressive 2.4 million cyberattacks launched in February 2012. Taiwan comes in a distant second with 900,000, followed by the website's native Germany at 780,000 and the Ukraine with 566,000. The United States takes sixth place, with more than 355,000 attacks launched from its soil.
Several Microsoft online services are suffering from problems this evening, with both Xbox Live and the Windows Azure cloud service in the midst of extended outages. According to Microsoft's status page, Xbox Live users may have issues accessing data and saved games in the cloud. SmartGlass is also affected, along with the Xbox Live Karaoke and ESPN apps. The problem has been ongoing for several hours and appears to be getting worse, with the company recently adding Xbox Live functionality for Halo 4 to the list of affected services. In an update posted at 9:03PM ET, Microsoft states that "We are still working as fast as we can to fix the issue."
The problem may be related to another service interruption, this one affecting the company's Windows Azure cloud platform. At the time of this writing, 52 different services are currently listed as either offline or suffering from degraded performance. Microsoft explains that Azure's storage service is currently down worldwide "due to an expired certificate." The company goes on to say that it is "validating the recovery options before implementing them," and will keep users appraised with further updates. It's not specifically stated that the Azure outage is responsible for the Xbox Live problems, but given that both revolve around storage issues the timing is certainly suspect.

Engadget is reporting this morning that Outlook.com is live and out of beta.
The numbers are pretty impressive.
The company just announced that the email service is no longer in beta, and that the site has racked up 60 million active users — over a third of them Gmail converts.

Good news for those of you still clinging to Windows Live Messenger in its current form — it looks like you’ll able to keep using it for just a little bit longer. It’s no secret that Microsoft would retire its 13 year old messaging service in favor of the one it paid $8.5 billion for, but Skype announced in a post on its blog that the timeline for the official transition process has been pushed back by a hair.
Microsoft announced to some users of the Live Messenger service last month that it would make its transition to Skype on March 15, but The Verge’s Tom Warren reports that only a “small number” of people will actually make the move on that date. A bigger test group was supposed to transition on the 15th, but apparently early tests were promising enough that the size of the first group was scaled down.
