The 2012 Olympics in London generated 150 million tweets and Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt ran away with a big share of them, according to Twitter.
The social network, assessing the 16-day event, found that Bolt’s 200m and 100m races prompted the most chatter during the Games. The former netted more than 80,000 tweets per minute while the former generated more than 74,000 TPMs as they’re known in Twitter’s headquarters.

Below are some projects where it is being performed the London 2012 Olympics. With large office projects like Zaha Hadid Architects, Hopkins, Magma among others, the gymnasiums and stadiums are highlighted by the imposing structures, but in places such as receiving a large audience, the functionality of the buildings is very important. Regardless of what you thought of the opening ceremonies - personally I thought they were great, you cannot deny nor argue the point that this Olympiad is unlike any other for the impact of social media on it is irrefutable.

NBCOlympics.com will stream 3,500 hours of live coverage from London, but only to viewers that can authenticate themselves as pay TV subscribers of one of 97 pay TV service providers. In addition, users must subscribe to a bundle that contains both CNBC and MSNBC. Most people should meet that requirement, but subscribers of analog basic cable, as well as cord cutters, have to look elsewhere.

NBC and Adobe released apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android devices that'll let you live stream the 2012 Olympics.
The apps are free, but you'll have to log in with information from your cable or satellite provider before you get access, just like you have to do with apps like Watch ESPN and HBO GO.
NBC will stream most events live to the apps, even if they aren't being shown on TV.

Personally, I find what is going on in London disgusting and offensive. If I had the chance to go over there and join the riot police to put these children in their place I would... *sigh* but in the mean time I'll post pictures of the 2012 London Olympics Logo!
