With the Galaxy S4's launch on the horizon, Samsung may be prepping another phone — this one a successor to the Galaxy S III mini. Leaked images posted at SamMobile appear to show a phone with the same design language as the Galaxy S4 but a smaller form factor, just as the original mini was a copy of the Galaxy S III. Its model number is shown as GT-I9190, compared to the S III mini's GT-I8190. SamMobile says the device has a 4.3-inch screen, compared to the 5-inch screen of the Galaxy S4 or the 4-inch screen of the S III mini. 4.3 inches was once enough for Samsung's flagship Galaxy S II, and there's still obviously demand for phones with smaller screens than the S4.

Is This Apple's iPad Mini 2?
A few new leaked images of what could be the casing for Apple's next iPad Mini are being passed around today.
The images show a device with a similar design as the current iPad Mini, but a little thicker, presumably to make room for a larger battery to power a high-resolution Retina display.
We first spotted the photos on Ubergizmo, but the leak comes from a Chinese forum called WeiPhone.

Samsung Sues Apple Over iPad Mini
Samsung filed a motion this week to amend its patent lawsuit against Apple to include the iPad Mini and new fifth-generation iPod Touch.
The motion claims since Samsung didn't know of the products when it filed the original lawsuit, they should be included since their design and software are so similar to other Apple products.
Here's an excerpt of the filing via AllThingsD:
The iPod Touch 5, iPad 4, and iPad Mini have the same accused functionality as the versions of the iPod Touch and iPad that are already part of this case. As such, the proof of infringement of the patents-in-suit by the iPod Touch 5, iPad 4, and iPad Mini will be substantially the same as for other Apple devices already accused of infringement in this litigation.

Here's What The Inside Of The iPad 4 Looks Like
As they do with every new device, the iFixIt staff has dissected the latest-generation iPad to see what's going on inside.
Their exploratory surgery of the device reveal that the display is now manufactured by LG and that Apple's use of the new Lightning connector didn't actually save any space inside the device.

iPad mini vs. Nexus 7: Which should you get?
Apple has introduced their lighter, thinner, more "concentrated" iPad mini but they certainly weren't first-to-market with a small tablet. Most recently, Google and their partner, Asus, launched the Nexus 7, the best Android tablet to date.
Still, the Nexus 7 hasn't really caught on beyond Android aficionados and gadget geeks. And that's despite it's decent build quality, ultra-modern operating system, and the full-on Google support only Nexus-class devices enjoy. It remains to be seen if Apple's small tablet will fare any better in the thus-far completely big iPad dominated market, but if you're looking for an alternative, there's very few other places to look.

Apple iPad Mini Review
The iPad has been a true tech phenomenon. Apple has sold 100 million of the tablets in just 2½ years, even though many people doubted they needed a $500 device that’s in between a smartphone and a laptop. No competing model has gained significant traction in the market.

iPad Mini vs 6 Other Tablets [Comparison]
So the rumors are true, there is an iPad Mini! Plus, Apple has released the 4th-gen iPad with plenty of new upgrades and powerful specs. Check out our rundown for what is bundled in Apple’s worst- and best-kept secret of the Oct 23 launch.
iPad Mini: Everything You Need to Know
The iPad Mini is here. It's a sleek, thin and light 7.9-inch tablet made of anodized aluminum and glass that follows the format reduction pioneered by Google and Amazon. This thing is really neat. Really light and thin at 0.68 pounds and 7.2 millimeters.
In a nutshell: it has better specs and it's thinner and lighter than the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the Google Nexus 7, but much more expensive too.
Apple makes it official, unveils the iPad mini
Coming as the announcement many were waiting for — Apple has officially announced the iPad mini. The iPad mini will have a 7.9-inch display and arrived priced from $329. Of course, as we have seen with the other iPad models — that $329 price point is just the beginning. The iPad mini will climb up to $659 if you want to get a 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model. Touching on the cellular, that is 4G LTE.

The iPad Mini Is Coming October 23rd
Apple has just sent out its last round of invites for the year, and it's as official as it gets: The iPad Mini is coming next week. Go ahead and mark off October 23rd on your calendars. It should be quite a show.
As the invite above indicates, the event will be held at 10am PST/1pm EST at the California Center in San Jose. If that comes as a surprise, it maybe shouldn't; the event date is just one of a slew of iPad Mini rumors that have burbled up these last few months. Given how on point this year's crop of iPhone 5 rumors turned out to be, it's safe to assume the tiny tablet is equally in our sights.

Apple Will Unveil The iPad Mini On October 23
Apple will unveil the iPad Mini at a press event on October 23, according AllThingsD.
AllThingsD is very tight with Apple, so it's always correct with Apple event dates.
AllThingsD's sources didn't confirm a location but it is speculated that the event will be held on Apple's campus at its Town Hall auditorium.
Jim Dalrymple of the Loop has also cosigned the announcement.
The smaller iPad is rumored to have a 7.85-inch screen and will sport Apple's new annoying Lightning connector.
If Apple announces the device on October 23, it'll likely launch a week to 10 days later.

Apple expected to move 10 Million iPad minis this year, report says
It’s been less than a week since the the iPad mini reportedly shifted into the full-blown manufacturing stage, and a new report by The Wall Street Journal reveals just how massive that mass production is: According to sources in the component supply chain, Apple’s planning to have more than 10 million iPad minis manufactured during the last leg of the year.

Apple’s New Mini iPad Expected To Take The Stage At October Event
Tell me if this particular rumor sounds familiar — rather than lump the announcements of a new iPhone and a new iPad into a single event, Apple will instead unveil the products at two distinct events. Daring Fireball’s John Gruber offered up that tantalizing possibility earlier in the week, and now it seems that he may have hit the nail on the head.
According to a new report from AllThingsD, sources close to the situation have confirmed that Apple will pull back the curtain on a new, smaller iPad during a special event in October. Meanwhile, all signs still point to an iPhone unveiling on September 12, so rabid members of the tech press and Apple’s fan club should have plenty of time to dig into one new product before another takes the stage.

iPhone 5 and iPad Mini launching at the same time? Why?
I know that Apple likes to add one more thing to its launch events. It makes them more dramatic, like a thriller with a twist.
A question, though, is whether the itty-bitty iPad that's been rumored to arrive for a while now will be iPhone 5's one more thing.
Initially, much respect was paid to a report from iMore that both these next life-changing works of art would be revealed on September 12, with the possibility that both products would be released at the same time.
