Google’s New Nexus 10 Tablet Commercial Focuses On Its Multiple Account Feature, And That’s An Advantage

Media_httpecximagesam_bimem

Google has been on a bit of a roll with its commercials lately, especially for its gadgets. Today, the company unleashed its latest commercial for the Nexus 10, its iPad killer competitor. The video tells the story of a couple who has just found out that they’re having a baby. Google has woven the Nexus 10 Wi-Fi-only device into the story quaintly.

The feature that Google decided to focus the commercial around? Its multi-user Android one. Yes, Google’s competitive advantage is apparently the fact that you can share the device with someone else. Is that enough? Have a look at the commercial...

iPad mini vs. Nexus 7: Which should you get?

Media_httpcdnimorecom_gixei

Apple has introduced their lighter, thinner, more "concentrated" iPad mini but they certainly weren't first-to-market with a small tablet. Most recently, Google and their partner, Asus, launched the Nexus 7, the best Android tablet to date.

Still, the Nexus 7 hasn't really caught on beyond Android aficionados and gadget geeks. And that's despite it's decent build quality, ultra-modern operating system, and the full-on Google support only Nexus-class devices enjoy. It remains to be seen if Apple's small tablet will fare any better in the thus-far completely big iPad dominated market, but if you're looking for an alternative, there's very few other places to look.

Big, Beautiful Photos Of Google's Newest Gadgets

Media_httpstatic3busi_lwefc

Google lifted the curtain off of three new devices today. They include a refreshed Nexus 7 tablet, a brand-new 10-inch tablet, and a powerful new smartphone.

Along with these new gadgets comes a new version of Android, Google's mobile operating system. It's called Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The new software enhances the tablets: In particular, it makes it easier to share the largest model by supporting multiple user accounts. That's useful for families and workplaces.

Now that these are out, users may want to think twice about springing for an iPad mini, or any of Apple's other delicious new products.

Nexus 10 Tablet: Everything You Need to Know

Media_httpimggawkeras_emcvi

It's been a long time, but it's finally here. Google's big answer to the iPad—the tablet that created an entire market—has officially arrived. And it's bringing a better-than-retina screen, curves and serious speed.

Its name is Nexus 10, and it's $100 cheaper than the iPad. Learn all about it here.

Looking at the specs, it seems that the Nexus 10 can be a more than worthy big tablet contender. The screen is sharper than the iPad, running at a whooping 300 pixels per inch. It's a tablet that has the potential to change the marketplace, just like the Nexus phone started the trend that eventually forced an iPhone design change.

The Rumored iPad Mini's Size Compared to the iPad, Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire

Media_httpimggawkeras_xcbxi

The whispers and smoke and noise about the rumored iPad mini—an iPad that would be 7.85-inches in screen size—are definitely getting louder. It's by no means real yet, but the iPad mini could very well be an actual thing. But what would it look like? Tweeter TrojanKitten points out that unlike the twinsies nature of the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire, the iPad mini would house a different form factor from its 7-inch contemporaries, with a different sized screen.

How the Nexus 7 will revitalize Google+

Media_httpwwwextremet_whhcc

Google+ has been around for a year now, and has managed to gain a reputation for being a virtual ghost town. Of course, the hardcore fans of Google’s social network will tell you differently, and Google itself revealed some impressive stats at last week’s Google I/O conference. Google also announced a suite of improvements to Google+, but that’s only part of the picture.

Take everything Google has done to make Google+ better, add in a great 7-inch tablet that sells for the low price of $200, and you have a recipe for the rebirth of Google+. The early Nexus 7 reviews are very favorable, and the device is so much cheaper than comparable tablets. The Kindle Fire is really the only similarly-priced competition, and the Nexus blows it out of the water. In other words, Google is probably going to sell a lot of Nexus 7 tablets.

Google's Nexus 7 Tablet Review

Media_httpstatic6busi_hgbif

We've known it was coming for a good six or seven months, and now we finally have it: the Nexus 7, Google's first tablet.

Yes, Android tablets are nothing new. But Google's hardware partners like Samsung, Toshiba, and HTC haven't been able to come up with a true hit yet. So Google took things into its own hands with the Nexus 7, partnering closely with Asus to come up with what it hopes to be the best Android tablet experience possible.

It worked.

Hands-On With The Google Nexus 7

Media_httptctechcrunc_aqcza

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

Built specifically for Google Play consumption, the Nexus 7 tablet built by Asus seems to be Google’s answer to both the iPad and Kindle Fire. So how does it stack up and just how buttery smooth is Jelly Bean?

It’s nearly impossible to say after only a few minutes with the device, but on a superficial level, it’s pretty nice. With an IPS display the screen is vibrant with fairly decent viewing angles. HD videos look sharp. Speaker placement is a bit weird but audio quality sounds pretty good. The textured rear looks and feels high-end.

Is This Google's Nexus Tablet?

Media_httpimggawkeras_cbtje

Though it might look like the original iPhone, this could possibly, maybe, actually be the Nexus Tablet that Google has been working on. Phone Arena received these pictures and believe that the images are leaked shots of Google's upcoming tablet made by ASUS.

It's possible, of course, the Google and ASUS lovechild tablet has long been rumored and we know that Google has been rumored to be working on the Nexus Tablet for Google I/O. But we have to take these pictures of the 7-incher with a 100,000,000 million search engine results-sized boulder of salt.

This Could Be Google's Official Answer To The iPad

Media_httpstatic7busi_igcbw

This might just be the rumored Google Nexus tablet, reports PocketNow.

The image came to them without any context, but a few clues tip them off as to what it could be.

All the icons are for proprietary Google products, none of the third-party apps you might find on a Samsung or Motorola tablet.

First Galaxy Nexus Owner Disappointed With His Phone

Media_httpstatic7busi_lrpjp

Samsung's Galaxy Nexus goes on sale today in the U.K., but not everyone is happy with it.

The company tweeted this photo of Alex Ioannou, who was the first in line to snag the new Ice Cream Sandwich phone.

Then Ioannou got home, and boy was he disappointed. In a note to Engadget he says he has a faulty device. Gmail sync is missing and there are a bunch of wonky developer tools still there.
