HTC has just announced the One, a new flagship Android smartphone for 2013. The HTC One runs Android 4.1.2, but an update to the latest version, Android 4.2, is promised at some point in the future. It has a quad-core Snapdragon 600 running at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage. It's already been compared to its competition aesthetically — but how do those specs stack up against other flagship models?
I've always hated BlackBerry phones. Disgracefully ugly bricks they were—until BlackBerry 10. The BlackBerry Z10 is hot. Truly beautiful, elegant hardware. If the OS is as nice as it seemed at CES, I will totally snatch one up.

Not only because they show off just how beautiful a phone RIM has built, but because they demonstrate why we should still care about BlackBerry. With hardware as lovely as this, it may still have a chance at coming back with a vengeance.

Augmented reality versus Google glasses: Soon both will be on the market. The question for consumers is, "Which one should I buy?"
Details of Google's prototype glasses are still largely under wraps, but what we do know right now is that the glasses consist of a powerful processor, multiple microphones, a small speaker, a camera, wireless radios and senors that make the glasses aware of their physical location.
For example, if you use the glasses to take a picture of a landmark or a barcode, they will display information about the place or product on the upper part of the right-side lens. That's different from augemented reality, where graphics are layered on top of what you see in real time.
There is a difference between a logo design and web design. When one talks of logo design, he or she may be referring to a symbol that identifies a product or an institution usually through flag, signs or marks. In most cases this logo is not meant to sell the company or the product directly rather it is meant to derive the meaning of what it is symbolizing. The whispers and smoke and noise about the rumored iPad mini—an iPad that would be 7.85-inches in screen size—are definitely getting louder. It's by no means real yet, but the iPad mini could very well be an actual thing. But what would it look like? Tweeter TrojanKitten points out that unlike the twinsies nature of the Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire, the iPad mini would house a different form factor from its 7-inch contemporaries, with a different sized screen.

It's admittedly a little unfair to judge Apple Maps since it hasn't even passed beta yet, but it doesn't change the fact that Apple's offering has to be great to not be a failure. And it's also worth noting that Siri proved Apple's not afraid to put an incomplete feature on an iPhone.
No iPhone user wanted to kill Google Maps. It makes me uneasy to even think about a phone without it. If you're replacing something as ubiquitous and functional as Google Maps, you had better be just as good. Or as a wise man from the streets once said, "If you come at the king, you best not miss."
At first look, NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) looks like the perfect rocket: heavy lifting launch vehicle that promises to be more versatile, powerful, and durable than anything that has preceded it. But there are major threats hanging over the rocket stacking the odds against it ever leaving the ground.
By design, SLS is pretty incredible. It’s central piece is a liquid fuelled core stage modelled off the space shuttle’s external tank. The core stage is flanked by two boosters that will enable early Block 1 and Block 1A versions of the rocket to lift 70 metric tons into Earth orbit. A small “kick” stage will give payloads on these smaller rockets the extra push for distant targets like the Moon. The later “evolved” SLS will feature a second stage that will facilitate lifting 130 metric tons into orbit. All three versions will be adaptable for manned spacecraft or cargo depending on the mission’s needs. As a point of reference, the evolved SLS will be as powerful as the Saturn V and less than 50 feet taller.

I have tried to find photographs and illustrations with similar or identical themes. Of course, the illustrator has a freer hand – anything they choose can be included in the illustration, whereas the photographer has to either set up the shot or take opportunistic shots which are not flexible in terms of content.
