The 11 Most Beautiful Apps, According To Apple
Design has always been a critical competitive advantage for Apple.
At this year's Worldwide Developer Conference, as Daring Fireball's Josh Gruber noted, Apple moved its annual Design Awards from its usual Wednesday evening time slot, towards the end of the conference, to Monday afternoon.
That strikes us as a pretty deliberate move to highlight the importance of design.
Apple is also running hands-on labs where developers can show their apps to Apple user-interface experts for a face-to-face critique. We heard from some developers at the show who were pretty pumped to get this kind of feedback—it's a rare opportunity.

Google Just Gave A Bunch Of Money To A Guy Who Hacked Chrome
Remember when Google offered up $1 million to anyone who could pose a security threat to Chrome? Looks like the company will have to pay up, but not nearly that amount.
Sergey Glazunov, a Russian student, successfully hacked a computer running a Chrome browser by using a never-before-seen exploit, reports Forbes.
Glazunov's trick bypassed the browser's "sandbox" restriction, which would normally keep a hacker out of the rest of a computer's system if he were able to break the browser.

Win $1,000 in PSD to HTML services!
Designing a new website is great, but not everyone loves taking their PSD designs and converting them into actual, working HTML and CSS.
In fact, there are some designers who positively hate it (and often get someone else to do that part for them rather than suffer through it themselves).

Most Interesting and Creative Youtube Contests
Youtube has been known for some time as one of the biggest and most popular time wasters on the web. But there are also many practical, educational and marketing values that have been found as it has expanded, especially since Google took it over a few years ago. This has led many companies to turn to the social media site to share commercials, contests, ideas and, best of all, get plenty of feedback from consumers and fans.
This has led to the creation of the Contests page, which lists many that are currently running, as well as those that have long since passed. They have become an incredibly innovative way to generate interest in businesses, events, non-profits and just giving people something fun to do.
These five are some excellent and interesting YouTube contests that you might want to give a try yourself.
