HDR Photography is one of the most creative part of modern day photography. High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI or HDR) is a set of methods used in imaging and photography to allow a greater dynamic range between the lightest and darkest areas of an image than current standard digital imaging methods or photographic methods. HDR images can represent more accurately the range of intensity levels found in real scenes, from direct sunlight to faint starlight, and is often captured by way of a plurality of differently exposed pictures of the same subject matter. In simpler terms, HDR is a range of methods to provide higher dynamic range from the imaging process. Non-HDR cameras take pictures at one exposure level with a limited contrast range. This results in the loss of detail in bright or dark areas of a picture, depending on whether the camera had a low or high exposure setting. HDR compensates for this loss of detail by taking multiple pictures at different exposure levels and intelligently stitching them together to produce a picture that is representative in both dark and bright areas. In this post I am going to showcase some amazing examples of HDR Photography to inspire our fellow photographers. Enjoy!

What is HDR photography?
If you have ever taken a picture and then thought it was not a true representation of the real world scene, then you are surely in need of High dynamic range (HDR) photography.
Normal (non-HDR) images are taken at just 1 exposure level which limits the contrast range. Depending on the exposure settings, the photo will lose details in either the bright or the dark areas of the image. Through HDR photography the real life scenes like intensity of sunlight and the shadow effects can be well replicated.

The Full Resolution Video of Curiosity Touching Down on Mars
One of the biggest bummers about Mars Rover Curiosity's epic landing is that there was no news crew on the surface to catch footage of the descent. This full resolution video of Curiosity touching down from its own point of view is the next best thing.
This isn't the first video of touchdown, but it's the best. It's the result of stringing together all the high resolution shots the rover took on its way to the surface, high resolution shots that took a lot longer to get back to Earth than the initial thumbnails. If it seems a bit choppy, that's because Curiosity only took about four pictures per second. It might not be movie quality, but this is the best video out there of what it's like to land on Mars. Incredible.

What Responsive Design Means
Responsive design is a style in which the layout responds of your webpage adjusts based on the device that it is being rendered on. So, depending on what device you are viewing a website, whether it’s on a desktop, a smart phone or a tablet, the layout will adjust based on the width of the browser. You will have different views, text, navigation and images are reflowed and or minimized.
The use of responsive design is ideal for businesses who do not want to create a different version of their website for different devices. More and more, responsive web design represents a shift in how websites will be built as the number of different devices increase. Within the next few years, as users increasingly access the internet through their mobile devices, it becomes paramount that websites are displayed accordingly on the different devices.
Responsive Web design is not only about adjustable screen sizes and automatic image resizing, but rather about a whole new way of thinking about design.
