Roberto Santos, an Art Director from Milan, Italy, decided to pursue this scary yet interesting idea. While experimenting, Robert selected proper brands that would fit perfectly with the famous comics heroes. The results are full of awesomeness.
Almost a year after phase one culminated with the successful production of The Avengers, Marvel has released a swath of new photos revealing some of their plans for Phase Two. Fans who bought the new “Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One – Avengers Assembled Blu-ray box set” were directed to BattleofNewYork.net, where they were given exclusive access to a five-minute preview of Phase Two, along with a look behind the scenes and a treasure trove of concept images.

Marvel Studios dropped an extended trailer for Iron Man 3 Tuesday, and it looks like fans are in store for a whole lot of superhero action. The preview gives us a glimpse at Tony Stark and his entire army of high-tech help.
Of course, only Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., gets the iconic red and gold outfitting, but the rest of his warriors have the same set of gadgets fans have grown accustomed to seeing on Iron Man.
If you have been following Toptenz.net you might know that we publish our fair share of comic book related lists. I still find time to see what’s going on at the Xavier’s School for Mutants, The Daily Planet and the Avenger’s Mansion when I can. Rather than publish just another comic book list, (we seem to have gone overboard recently) I thought it would be fun to showcase original artwork. I found some artists who were willing to follow my bizarre instructions: create a new superhero character that is a mashup of a Marvel superhero and a DC superhero.

Artists in this creative field can be commonly classified into as penciller, inker, colorist and cover artist – each has a very important role in bringing us the best comic graphics that accompany a good story line. And as our featured artist for this month, we take a peek on the amazing career of one of the many pencillers in the comics industry – Peter V Nguyen.

The Nintendo Super Mario game was all the rage back in the 80’s and early 90’s, it was for many kids a Saturday morning tradition to sit on the floor and fight for Mario’s love, Princess Peach. Those kids are now all grown up, many with kids of their own but are often reminded of those fond memories by awesome items that take us back in time. If you are that grown up kid, the detachable Super Mario inspired potted piranha plants is a treasured find.

Before the practicalities of life sink in, what every child wants to be when they grow up is a superhero. However, the superheroes of today have managed to inspire young adults as well.

Evan Daniels of Martian Glass Works on Etsy has created a beautiful / geeky series of video game and comic book superhero themed stained glass panels that would really tie a room together. On the very detailed 31″ x 47″ Iron Man 3 Mark XLVII Armor stained glass panel R. That crazy awesome Felix Baumgartner jumped off the edge of the space, from 127,000 feet of altitude all the way back down to Earth, breaking some world records and getting vital information for NASA in the process. Who of us hasn’t experienced the thrill of reading the comic book of his favorite superhero, while he was tucked under his blanket in his childhood? Who hasn’t experienced the excitement when he was reading how his superhero came and saved the world from the clutches of the dark evil forces? Yes we tend to shed such interests when we grow old but our children still feel the same way when they read their comic books. This is the reason why children love their rooms to be decorated by images of superheroes. Also, it won’t be wrong to infer that even we adults are still fascinated by superhero stories perhaps not as much in reading but in watching. The successes of movies like The Dark Knight and The Amazing Spider-Man bears witness to this fact.

Happy Batman Week, folks! May your days be filled with excited thoughts of escaped convicts and venom masks. Time flies, doesn’t it? It feels like just yesterday that the world was abuzz with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man, and the day before that, The Avengers. Tonight’s midnight debut of The Dark Knight Rises will unfortunately wrap up our summer of impressive superhero blockbusters, so we decided to make a silly infographic to honor the occasion.
