Steve Wozniak on the evolution of computer technology

Media_httpcdntechicom_steas

The co-founder of Apple squeezes a ton of opinions and information into a video that’s less than 5-minutes long, but that doesn’t mean it’s light on data. In this string of consciousness talk that he gave for UCTV, he makes some points and humorous quips, but he mentions on thing that was very profound.

With the development of natural language recognition and faster internet and server technology, our phones are essentially becoming “human” in many ways. It has the sense of touch in the form of the touchscreens. It has the sense of the inner ear to be aware of its position within space. With GPS, it knows exactly where it is even if most people do not once they leave their familiar settings. It has an ear. It has an eye. I needs a sense of smell to be part of the human world.

First photos of Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs, black turtleneck and all

Media_httpfarm6static_oddgv

Behold! The Ashton Kutcher to Steve Jobs transformation in progress.

Back in April, we reported that the “That 70′s Show” star signed on to play Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs in an indie biopic based on a script from Matt Whiteley. The film, currently titled Jobs: Get Inspired, will purportedly chronicle a vast spectrum of Jobs’ life, from his days as a scraggly hippie all the way up to his second stint at Apple.

With production of the film already under way, TMZ was able to snag a few photos of Kutcher in full Jobs regalia, which is to say photos of Kutcher wearing Jobs’ trademark jeans and black turtleneck. One nitpicky point of contention though – looks like Kutcher above is wearing Asics and not Jobs’ patented New Balances.

Can you learn to be as charismatic as Steve Jobs?

Media_httpgigaom2file_tbhki

Marilyn Monroe wanted to prove a point. It was a sunny summer day in New York City, 1955. With a magazine editor and a photographer in tow, Marilyn walked down into Grand Central Terminal. Though it was the middle of a busy workday and the platform was packed with people, not a single person noticed her as she stood waiting for the subway. As the photographer’s camera clicked, she boarded the train and rode along quietly in a corner of the car. Nobody recognized her.

Ashton Kutcher: The Role Of Steve Jobs Was Meant For Me

Media_httpstatic8busi_ibdif

Ashton Kutcher is wasting no time preparing for the role of Apple cofounder Steve Jobs, reports The Daily.

Mark Hulme, the producer behind the movie Jobs, said, "He is already meeting with folks that knew Steve Jobs. He’s working with professionals to get inside the voice. He’s letting his hair grow out. I understand he’s canceled all meetings and actually canceled all other projects...He believes the role was meant for him."

With filming set to begin next month, there's a solid chance that the movie will be out by Thanksgiving in time for awards season. Could we see an Oscar campaign for Ashton Kutcher as Best Actor?

Watch Steve Jobs' Life In a Facebook Timeline

Media_httpimggawkeras_qlwio

Someone built a Facebook timeline with the life of Steve Jobs. It's quite nice to go through it and look at his life in this format, rather than having to suffer through Isaacson's rushed out prose.
