Beautiful examples of cinematic photography

Many people disagree on what defines a photograph as cinematic. In its origin, a cinematic photograph is a print reproduction of a frame shot from a movie reel. However, more and more people are coming around to the notion of applying cinematic effects to digital still pictures, and more and more people are becoming exceptionally skilled at doing that.

A cinematic still photograph is basically one that you think looks as a frame that could be taken from a movie, a shot that seems to stimulate a feeling of a bigger story behind it. One that just seems to have the right mood and atmosphere.
