Syfy's 'Robot Combat League' Makes Major Tech Dream Come True

Robot Combat League, Syfy's new reality series pitting 12 expensive, 8-feet-tall humanoid machines against each other in tournament-style face-offs, ends Tuesday night with the final two robots. And while this season lasted only three months, it has been years in the making.

"I really couldn't believe how technologically advacnced they were," Chris Jericho, the show's host and popular WWE wrestler, told Mashable. "It's like being attacked by a Terminator. If you got hit by one of these things it would literally cave your head in."...

Watch The Trailer For Hulu's Original Show 'Battleground'

Creating original, scripted shows is the new fad for web-streaming services: Netflix is doing it, Yahoo's doing it, and now Hulu's doing it.

Hulu just unveiled the trailer for an original series about a senatorial candidate's campaign staff. It's called "Battleground," and the trailer is cliched, poorly written and melodramatic. In other words, it looks terrible.

Making a reality show isn't as simple as pointing a camera at a person and hoping he or she is horrible. There are a lot of tricks and manipulations that producers use to make douchebags and handbag design more compelling. There's an argument to be made that no one should think about reality shows-- either turn off your brain and enjoy them or brag about how you don't own a TV.

CES 2012: New technologies unleashed at show

Waterproof smartphone coatings, diet-aiding armbands and a social network that warns drivers of the latest police speed-traps were all on show.

Microsoft's chief executive Steve Ballmer will present his company's last keynote at the three-day event.

Terra Nova is Ripe for Cancellation

We’ve been a bit rough on Terra Nova, but it’s because we want an awesome show with Dinosaurs on TV. Unfortunately, it looks like the show won’t be sticking around. In the latest round of ratings, Terra Nova came in as the second lowest non-reality show on Fox. The only show lower than it was Fringe, and most people have started to accept that this may be the last season of the show. Terra Nova may not even make it through the entire season if its ratings continue this way.
