Your Google Music Collection is About to Sound a Lot Better

Media_httpwwwtechnolo_zdtju

Google Music users in the United States just received a new feature that will likely increase the sound quality of their library. Google has activated its scan and match system that will also make uploading songs a whole lot faster. Here’s how it works.

Every time you upload a song or album to Google Music, Google will automatically compare it against music that’s already available on its servers. If it finds a match, it will instantly add those songs to your Google Music library at quality up to 320 kbps. It doesn’t even matter if the original file was of lower quality. You’ll still get the best Google has to offer. If no match is found, the file(s) will upload as normal.

The higher quality songs will only be available in streaming form. If you decide to download the files, you’ll get the same version you originally tried to upload.

Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Now Available With Retina Display Support

Media_httpimggawkeras_fkven

The only complaint I had about my new MacBook Pro 15 is now gone. Well, not all of them, but only the one about its gorgeous Retina display: Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator are now both available with Retina display support. What a change!

I've been using the Retina-enabled betas for quite a while now, and they work great. It's must-have upgrade if you are using these products on the MacBook Pro 15 or 13.

You will see the difference from the moment you start: icons and text on the palettes are now ultra-sharp. But the most important change is not that, it's the fact that Adobe's graphics engine now knows the relative resolution of your screen (221 pixels per inch) and act accordingly.

The Quest to Upgrade the Internet

Media_httpwwwtheother_uqvhp

America was settled by corporations. Popular myth focuses on the pilgrims: Puritans who came to the new land seeking to escape persecution and establish a colony under their own religious ideas, but these people were not the first nor were they the largest or most successful European group to settle in America. Corporations were. They came because there was potential for great wealth in settling a “new” land. They were incorporated because the risk was great.
