"My name is Shania Safira, and I am a 16 year-old student from Indonesia. My passion for photography started 3 and a half years ago when I discovered my father’s old film camera lying around the unused room we had in the house. I started to experiment with it by taking pictures of my dog, and every single object in the house. It was then when I also began to feel fascinated even by the smallest and trivial things around me, like the rising morning sun, the way the curtains swayed… It felt like they were a part of me and I was part of nature. My appreciation for the world grew much larger, and so did my love for photography."
