Public service ads are advertisements sponsored by non-profit institution, a civic group, religious organization, a trade association, or group policy to mobilize the public to take measures for the good of the community. In modern times, media is an important vehicle to call the citizens to act in their best interests and those of society as public service announcements (PSA). Most public service advertising involves the gift of time or space on part of the environment in which it is presented. Groups such as the Red Cross, United Way sponsored a large part of public service announcements.
