A Flight Through the Universe, by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey

Dreams of sailing through the universe at light speed have sparked human imagination since we realized our Milky Way was only one of many galaxies, but this incredible animation by Johns Hopkins’ Miguel Aragon and Alex Szalay and Adler Planetarium’s Mark Subbarao will leave you awestruck at just how insignificant our little corner really is.

The Future Of Flight

Flash Content Only.

Did you know that when you fly your pilot may not be taking the most efficient route? GE conducted a study on 46 airports that currently are not, but could be, taking advantage of RNP (required navigation performance) which creates optimal flight paths. This visualization explores the potential benefits by airport, in fuel savings, operational savings, and CO2 reductions. Take a look to see what the future of flight holds.
