This is the 27th year the publication has put together the ranking.

A majority of the individuals on the tech portion of Forbes' massive list are self-made.

Bill Gates is still the richest man in technology, his net worth increased by $1 billion between 2012 and 2013.

The 15 Richest People In Tech

The Forbes 400 is out and once again plenty of tech people made the list.

We've gathered the 15 richest people in tech on the list. The biggest change from last year is that Mark Zuckerberg has taken a big fall. Turns out the public markets don't value Facebook the way private markets did.

Other than Zuckerberg, just about everyone else's wealth grew as the markets were friendly to older, more traditional tech companies.

The band is getting back together: Seven years after winning the $10 million Ansari X Prize, software billionaire Paul Allen and aerospace guru Burt Rutan are teaming up with SpaceX and other top-flight rocketeers to create an air-launched orbital delivery system.
