John McAfee Being Extradited to the U.S.

John McAfee, the software pioneer who is wanted for questioning by Belize police in relation to the death if his neighbor, is being extradited to the United States.

McAfee boarded a plane headed for Miami, Fla. at approximately 4 p.m. ET Wednesday afternoon.

McAfee, an American, has been held for a week by authorities in Guatemala, where he turned up after fleeing Belize. Once he was in Guatemalan custody, Belize officials said they expected him to be handed over to that country. Instead, he's on his way to Florida.

"Complying with migration law, Mr. John McAfee is to be deported to his country of origin," a spokesman for Guatemala's immigration office told Reuters

Now John McAfee Is Writing an Insane Blog While He's in Jail

The John McAfee circus came to a head last night when McAfee was finally arrested in Guatemala. Except uh, now he's blogging from a computer the Guatemalan police gave him in his jail cell.

Here's how the first prison-based post starts:

I am in jail in Guatemala. Vastly superior to Belize jails. I asked for a computer and one magically appeared. The coffee is also excellent.

Tech Mogul John McAfee Finally, Really, Truly Is Arrested

U.S. software guru John McAfee, on the run from authorities in Belize seeking to question him in a murder probe, was arrested by Guatemalan police on Wednesday for illegally entering the country, that nation's interior minister said.

McAfee, who had been in hiding for three weeks, crossed into Guatemala with his girlfriend, Samantha, to evade authorities in Belize who wanted to question him as "a person of interest" about the killing of fellow American Gregory Faull.

"The (Guatemalan) police issued an arrest warrant for John McAfee and captured him for entering the country illegally," Interior Minister Mauricio Lopez Bonilla said. McAfee was taken to a residence belonging to the immigration department guarded by a policeman.

Antivirus Software Pioneer John McAfee Believes He Is About To Die At The Hands Of Police

Antivirus software entrepreneur John McAfee is reportedly on the run from the police in Belize.

He is reportedly wanted for murder.

He told Wired he didn't do it, and that the man who was murdered was actually killed by police who thought they were killing him.

He told Wired that the police "will kill me if they find me."

At 5 AM Pacific time this morning McAfee was on the phone with Wired reporter Joshua Davis at 5 in morning Pacific time, and told him: "I will not turn myself in."
