20 Creative Body Art by Japanese Artist Chooo San

Media_httpwebneelcomd_cefbb

Japanese art student Chooo-San, aged 20, use acrylic paint and her incredible talent to transform herself into a mutant or cyborg. Multiple mouths, six eyes or even batteries protruding from her forearms – these are just a few examples of what she can do with a human body. Finally, she took her hobby a step further & created a portfolio of her stunning body paintings. The results look incredibly promising. With zips, power plugs, laces and buttons adorning their bodies, these young models look like something out of a travelling freak show. But they are in fact the latest walking exhibits of Japanese artist Chooo-San's incredible illusionary makeup art. Bored with digitally enhanced pictures, the 20 year old student decided to see how far she could push her limits without technology with impressive results.

How Startups Should Prepare For The Day When Technology Merges With Our Brains

Media_httpstatic5busi_abhju

By 2045, human beings will become a new species, half human, half machine.

Or so futurist Ray Kurzweil believes. He argues that by looking at the how tech is being developed that one day we will sort of merge with machines and society will reach a state of "technological singularity."

That's because, in part, computer processors double in speed every year while they get increasingly smaller. One day, we'll inject tiny computers into our bodies like medicine or add them to our brains to make us smarter.

In the meantime, tech is always getting faster, cheaper, and spreading to more markets and industries. And this creates a lot of opportunity for startups, until the day when we all turn into cyborgs.

Will your body be the battery of the future?

Media_httpwwwextremet_bhett

The average human, at rest, produces around 100 watts of energy. This equates to around 2000 kcal of food energy, which is why your recommended daily intake of calories is around 2000 kcal. Over periods of a few minutes (or a few hours in the case of trained athletes), we can comfortably sustain 300-400 watts — and in the case of very short bursts of energy, such as sprinting, some humans can output up to 2,000 watts.

12 Facts About Body Language To Know Before Your Next Interview

Media_httpstatic7busi_gftfc

Most of us aren't aware of our body language, especially when we're in a stressful situation — but interviewers are trained to read it.

Karl Rozemeyer at TheLadders says in a report that involuntary body language can be compared to stage fright for an actor.

To see how actors effectively communicate with their bodies, Rozemeyer spoke to John Treacy Egan, a Broadway actor, and Jodie Bentley, an acting coach.

“I think it is important to have body awareness before you go into an interview,” Bentley said. "There are many actions and habits that we should consider doing or avoid doing to tell the right story during the interview setting."

We contacted TheLadders who gave us permission to share these 12 body tricks jobseekers should master before stepping into the interviewing room. All of the photos are modeled by Business Insider staffers.

Get Your Message Across With Body Language: 5 Tips

Media_httpwwwinccomup_khlmh

Industrial psychologists and others can give you statistics on verbal and non-verbal communication, but I have been led to believe that as much as 60% of communication is body language. That seems a little high but I can tell you from experience it's pretty close to the mark.

In my experience body language can shift a conversation much more quickly than the spoken word. Here are some examples and how they might be used.

How Mobile Devices Are Destroying Your Body…

Media_httpcdnbitrebel_bqfzt

How come every time we make a leap in technology, we always seem to mess it up for ourselves? What I mean is, once we manage to solve something, something else comes along that got messed up because of it. There are so many people out there who depend on technology to get them through the day that some scientists say if something happened to our power supply, well let’s just say we would be in deep water, and we can only swim for so long. I previously wrote an article about the fact that sitting down too much is slowly killing us. There are some scientific facts suggesting various nerves and vessels get blocked when we sit down, and that could lead to an early death.

After decades of trying, scientists may have finally found a way to make body armor out of spider silk.

Aside from being very cool, this would mean ultra-lightweight, super-strong, flexible body armor that would provide highly improved protection for America’s soldiers and law enforcement officers.
