'Wolverine' Trailer Shows Angry Hero Seeking Death in Japan

After releasing a six-second teaser of The Wolverine on Vine and a 20-second teaser on MTV, 20th Century Fox and Marvel unleashed the movie's first full trailer on Wednesday.

Hugh Jackman plays the disgruntled hero for the sixth time in this second solo outing following X-Men Origins: Wolverine from 2009. His other four appearances were in the X-Men franchise films.

This time his distress over his immortality reaches a fever pitch as a man he previously saved offers him a way to take away his regenerative abilities and become mortal again.

Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag aims to refresh the formula

Set in the hot waters and islands of the Caribbean during the 17th century, the player inhabits the role of a charismatic pirate named Edward Kenway – father of Assassin Creed 3's Haytham Kenway.

Edward Kenway's the ultimate dad, a bleach blond surfer-type that cares mostly about himself and his hot ride, a ship he can trick out however he'd like.

In Kenway's swashbuckling shoes, the player will captain said ship, free to hunt whales, visit hidden coves, search for sunken treasure and do all sorts of things you'd expect from Jack Sparrow, but not Ezio Auditore.

Judging from the hour-long presentation of slides, trailers and gameplay we were shown in New York City last week, Black Flag looks like a spin-off game. It's an open-world pirate simulator, a marked departure from the more narratively linear Assassin's Creed games that came before it.

Given the undeniable popularity of mid-size tablets (see: Apple iPad mini), it's no surprise the Korean electronics giant would want to strengthen its foothold in a category it helped create. It was just three short years ago that Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab and now, three Notes later, it's ready to perfect the one-handed experience. With this new Note, the company's culled the best of what's around its Galaxy into an 8-inch form factor, housing a 1,280 x 800 TFT display, Exynos 4 Quad with 2GB RAM (clocked at 1.6GHz), TouchWiz-skinned Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 OS, S Pen (and suite of associated apps), as well as radios for HSPA+ and WiFi into that familiar, lightweight plastic body.

A new trailer, poster and photos have been released for Marvel‘s Iron Man 3 film, the third adventurous installment of billionaire playboy / brilliant engineer Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and his powered suit of armor that picks up some months after The Avengers save planet Earth. Tony will be targeted by the supervillain known as the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), Iron Man’s iconic archenemy from the comics who wields Ten Rings of Power. The Shane Black directed film is scheduled for release in 2D and 3D on Friday, May 3, 2013.

Like any good show pony, BlackBerry 10's been trotting around the world, strutting the fairly limited elements of its known UI in an effort to court developers. The platform, without question the nail upon which RIM's fate and fortune hangs, had its big coming out party this past May at the company's showcase in Orlando, an event at which we also got to meet the Dev Alpha -- a glimpse into future hardware design -- and espy three main features of this new OS: camera, keyboard and app switching. What we didn't get, however, was any actual hands-on time with the software, leaving most members of the tech press to take Waterloo for its word.
