The movie industry's UltraViolet platform might be off to a quiet start, but its backers say it already has 750,000 subscribers and 2012 will see major growth.
Hollywood’s UltraViolet DRM-protected digital media locker service may have gotten off to a slow start in 2011—soft-launching in October and rolling out support for almost 20 titles by the end of the year—but the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem (DECE)—the consortium behind the service—says 2012 will be a banner year for the service.
