The job hunting can be a tedious task despite the field in which everyone of us performs, but in my opinion, we designers have a great advantage in front of other professionals at the time of do the search, we can attract the attention of the employers, more easily, even making them ask us to work for them (this applies if you’re good at what you do).

Where to Look for Royalty Free Images for Beautifying Your Posts?
Getting a visit to your website is totally different than making the visitor stay at your website. You must certainly have balanced proportion of good information, unique text and most importantly a good and creative graphical look and feel. It is highly observed during many studies that after landing to a web page the very first thing that a user gets attracted to it the graphical representation of that page and the content comes next to it. As a personal experience I would definitely prefer a post on same topic that has some graphical explanation along with the text part as well as it keep the boredom away.

Where web designers find web developers
It seems to me that there is an ever-increasing chasm between the fields of web design and web development. (I'm using the terms here to distinguish between the design of a website [web design] and the programatic execution of the design [web development]).
And, thought I know many designers who dabble in development and developers who dabble in design, I don't know many who are experts at both disciplines. Even among the most talented developers, it is rare to find those familiar with more than a few platforms.

4 Proven Strategies for Finding a Wider Audience for Your Content
Yes, content is king — that’s old (and very profitable) news.
Content is the fuel of permission-based marketing, and an excellent instigator of engagement.
It’s the marketing that your audience wants to receive.
There’s just one little problem.
Sure, content is king — but without an audience, the king can get awfully lonely.
Sorry, but even terrific content doesn’t get out there and find an audience all by itself. You need a practical plan for how you’re going to find and grow that audience.

What You Need to Know When Finding the Perfect Clients
My clients rock! I truly care about them, and love seeing them succeed. They value my opinions and advice. We get along great because we have something in common – we’re passionate about what we do. Not all of my clients have a business that I think is just super cool, but their excitement for what they do is infectious.
My client list has, unfortunately, been infiltrated by bad clients in the past. I’m lucky to have had only three clients that I consider bad in the past. Note that I said the past. I didn’t let them hang around too long. We completed the terms of our original contract and parted ways.

Update: Facebook Kills Its 'Find Friends Nearby' Feature
We first noticed Facebook's newest mobile feature earlier today, and we admit, it was a bit creepy.
The feature let you see which strangers near you were using the Facebook app.
Now, when we try to navigate to http://fb.com/ffn the link is dead and we can't find friends anymore.
Facebook told ABC News that the feature was pulled, so we're guessing the negative backlash caused the feature to die a quick and early death.

Facebook's new 'Find Friends Nearby' feature: Creepy or clever?
Facebook quietly added a new feature to its mobile website and apps this weekend. It's called "Find Friends Nearby" and it ... well, it does exactly what you'd think it might.
TechCrunch's Ingrid Lunden was among the first to call attention to the new feature, after a developer tipped her off.
You can access Find Friends Nearby either through the iOS or Android Facebook apps — just open up the main menu, tap "Apps," select "Find Friends," press "Other Tools," and then pick "Find Friends Nearby" — or by heading to http://fb.com/ffn on your mobile device.

How to Find a WordPress Theme that Works
As an online publisher you have to make hundreds of important decisions a day, so why leave the biggest ones to chance?
If you’ve chosen to self-host your site (instead of becoming a digital sharecropper) using WordPress as your platform, you’re already miles ahead of the competition. But finding the right face for your business or brand can be one of the hardest choices you’ll make.
There are thousands of WordPress themes to pick from. Unfortunately, they aren’t all created with the same integrity, style, and security that you deserve.
You could just shut your eyes and throw a dart, but that’s not going to help you build the long-term, profitable audience you need.

The Business of Job Bid Sites for Freelancers
Bid sites have become a part of freelancing, no matter how much some of us dig in our heels and scream otherwise. It’s become very common for a freelancer to land her first clients through a site like Elance or Odesk, or for a freelancer to pick up some work to fill in holes in their schedule.
Sure, the rates are lower than what we can probably get when we’re dealing with clients on our own — or at least they feel that way after the site takes a bite out of our revenues. But there is a level of convenience that bid sites offer.

How to Find Ideas to Write About in Under 10 Minutes
The most common problem that bloggers like me encounter is that point in time when no idea seems to be good enough to be written and published. You’d think that the biggest problem here is thinking of what to write about, but the underlying problem is really answering the question, “is it good enough?” or “will my readers like it?”

5 Ways to Find Work as a New Freelancer
When I first started freelancing, I was unhappy in my job. I was working in Boston during the dotcom bubble burst of the early 2000s. There was nowhere for me to go in my current position, and the constant layoffs and cutbacks were making me nervous. So I retreated back to what I knew I was good at—writing.

Finding Work on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
I love a good infographic, and this one created by Jobvite (view full infographic post or view it at full size) is really cool. It shows how Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter help people find work.
This research looks at how people are using social media to look for and find work. Facebook leads the pack, with 44% of job seeking activity followed by LinkedIn at 26%. Are you a ‘super social’—someone who is highly active in social media circles with more than the average number of contacts? Twenty-eight percent of you found their last job through social networking, and 85% of you did so on Facebook.

How to Get Your Dream Job When the Economy is Down
Employers are posting the most job openings in the past three years, reports the Labor Department, yet there are nearly 14 million people out of work competing for these jobs. This means there’s an average of 4.2 unemployed workers competing for each opening.
