5 Questions to Ask Before You Act on That Great Idea

f your small business’s innovation efforts are successful, you’ll end up with an embarrassment of riches—dozens of innovative ideas and possibilities, each one of which has the potential to enhance, enrich and change your business. When you’re lucky enough to be in this situation, you’re faced with a new challenge: How do you decide which innovative idea (or ideas) to act on?

Many small businesses approach innovation the wrong way around, devoting lots of time to coming up with ideas and then quickly deciding among them in a scattershot fashion. For best results, however, you should spend more time assessing your ideas and deciding which one/s to implement than you do coming up with those ideas in the first place.
