We’ve put together a list of presents worth finding under the Christmas tree this year. Whether it’s something to make work life more enjoyable, organize the office, or blow off steam after hours; there’s something to suit every pocket, and not a jumper or pair of socks in sight.
Not just a small iPad, the 7.9-inch form factor of the mini makes it a completely different device than anything else on the market. It’s bigger than the seven-inch displays used by many competitors, but still small enough to be held comfortably in one hand. Thin and light, the devices sport an aluminum and glass design similar to that used by Apple on the new iPhones and are available in either black with slate trim or white with silver trim. It’s not the cheapest small-size tablet – WiFi only is $329 (16 GB), $429 (32 GB), $529 (64 GB); WiFi and cellular goes for $459 (16 GB), $559 (32 GB), $659 (64 GB) – but the benefit to getting an iPad mini is that it runs the thousands of apps that have been designed for the iPad. (Limited quantities at the Apple store, so call ahead!)
There are just 12 days until Christmas! If you’re still struggling to find that perfect gift for the designer/developer in your life, or if your loved ones could do with a few helpful hints, here are some suggestions sure to earn you (or them) that kiss under the mistletoe.

If you are shopping for a geek, you know that it is no easy task, hopefully this list of items will give you some ideas, or inspire you with some different ideas on your gift purchasing journey this year! The following list is something I have compiled (being a geek myself) of items that I would want for myself (if I had the money or someone was buying them for me that is. FEEL FREE TO BUY THEM FOR ME BTW LOL) these are in no particular order of course. I chose these items based on fun factor, coolness, and new/usefulness of the tech gadgets – hopefully they will be worthy additions to your shopping list (and your geeks will appreciate them!). Most importantly, I hope you don’t stress out over shopping and enjoy time with the family this year We all need that time to rewind and reflect on ourselves so that we can do more of the stuff that we love and make a difference in the world! Happy Holidays, I hope you enjoy!
It's that time of year, again. That time in which we all run around stressing out about putting down our credit cards or hard-earned cash money for those absolutely perfect things that our friends and lovers and family members will, we hope against hope, finally appreciate. The time that we overdo it, spending too much money (every year our mothers warn us against this!), or that time that we underdo it, only to pass along our sad little gift at the Secret Santa party for it to be scoffed at or ignored in favor of something legitimately good.
As Christmas is almost upon us I thought it might be fun for us to share some Christmas gift suggestions that we might like to see under the Christmas tree.
The idea is simple. If you have bought a gadget or other geek gift that you think is awesome, post it in the comments. If somebody else has suggested an idea that you agree or disagree with, add a reply.
To kick us off, I thought I would share with you my own suggestions. These are all items I personally own and can recommend. As it is Christmas, it seems only right that I share 12 gifts, one for each of the 12 days of Christmas.
It’s that time of year again. The weather is cooling down, everything from candles to coffee smells like pumpkin, and the holidays are right around the corner. Before you know it, you’ll be standing in a shopping mall with absolutely no idea what to purchase for the lovable but oh so nerdy designers on your list. Hint: they don’t want another “fancy” pen set from Staples.
Fear not, my fellow geeks have elected me to inform you of all the things that they’d love to see under the tree this year. Just like last year, I’ve put together a list of fifteen awesome gifts for designers. Take a look and start crossing off some names.
Instead of taking the boring route and getting someone a gift card during this season of graduations, parent holidays, and weddings we put together this list of gadgets that is sure to make those you care about happy.
