It once again features Psy dancing and wreaking havoc across South Korea, and thrives off of the singer's dance moves and goofy charisma. Grunge Minimalist Posters Illustrating Famous Movie Quotes
Making posters related to famous movies is somehow popular these days among designers. There are a lot of them doing it and they are each creating the posters in a certain style. For example, Jay Quann created this series of posters which illustrate famous movie quotes and a significant minimalist image which is relevant for the quote or the movie itself.
This is an interesting concept and there are a few posters that people might like hanging in their office or, why not, at home. For the time being, these are the only posters available, but we are surely hoping that he makes a few more because there are so many movies that people can relate to and so many really good lines that are famous.

Top 15 Websites With Retro and Vintage Design
Vintage and retro themes in web development are becoming extremely popular these days. However, this doesn’t suggest particularly complex elements in design. On the contrary a simple use of old black & white photos or some old fashioned music played in the background may do the trick. It will also make sense to play with a color palette and with its help add a retro feel to your design.
Retro and vintage designs are in fact very challenging and demand a great deal of creativity from a designer. In the process of development they require the right color scheme, typography, patterns and a whole set of many other different elements that will define the era they will end up representing. Ultimately, both vintage and retro designs are supposed to transfer the users far into the past, therefore selecting the corresponding elements is extremely important, typography in particular.

The Future of Minimalist Web Design
Minimalism is the hype not just on posters and billboards but in the web as well. More and more people are finally coming to realize that “less is more”. In retrospect, the popularity of minimalist design had something to do with the onset popularity of internet capable devices.
When Apple mashed a music player, phone, and computer all into one device, people were so excited that they can surf the web on-the-go. It was a new thing in 2007, but now surfing on mobile devices is ubiquitous. According to Google’s findings, 69 percent of US mobile users access the internet on their phones daily. The only problem was, people had a hard time surfing the web in their tiny screens. Hello minimalist design!

Vimeo introduces 'Looks,' gives users access to over 500 'Hollywood-style' effects
The user-uploaded videos you find at Vimeo are typically a hair more polished than your average YouTube clip, but that doesn't mean the company is averse to embracing the filters trend. In fact, that's exactly what it's doing today with the rollout of Looks, a new addition to the site's Enhancer toolset that offers over 500 visual effects users can add to their projects. Everything is done directly within the web browser, and you're able to preview each effect in realtime before deciding if it's the right match. With the overwhelming number of options, Vimeo has helpfully categorized Looks by genre and mood to help filmmakers quickly excise effects that aren't likely to fit. Perhaps most intriguing, the video site can also choose a Look automatically "based on technical analysis of the user's video and social data." Vimeo plans to roll out Looks, made possible through a partnership with Vivoom, to registered users within the next 90 days.

Stylish Illustrations of AliceX
It's been a while since the last time I checked DeviantArt. It is always a nice place to find design inspiration. In this particular instance I was looking for some stylish illustrations for a personal project when I stumbled upon the work of Alice X. Zhang. Alice is a full time freelance illustrator from the United States. Her illustrations are the definition of bold and are easily recognizable by the saturation of red used throughout the majority of her work making me reminiscent of the 80s. There's also nice usage of brush splatters and textures to give her work a personality all its own.

I’m a big fan of the vintage style, both in web design and design in general. This post rounds up a collection of 30 websites all based on the vintage theme and feature great examples of authentic vintage style typography in their logos and titles.
