Blackberry 9930 vs iPhone 4S

Last month, I was mocked for my crappy phone.

I had a two-year-old BlackBerry Curve that had to be reset every other hour.
I couldn't take pictures, scan the Facebook app or find my coordinates on Google Maps without it crashing.

I wasn't in denial. I knew the phone was on its last legs, and was sorely lacking in the software department.

7 Billion People: Should World Adopt 'One-Child' Policy?

The world population is projected to hit a whopping 7 billion by the end of this month, and researchers suggest it could reach 10 billion within the next century. On the one hand, this means we're a great success — after all, the goal of any species is to expand and conquer. But, on the other hand, all that expansion means more mouths to feed, which requires more space and energy, which increases the demand on resources and the environment, perhaps too large a demand for Earth to support.

Believe me or not, revolution of color industry in digital art and display media haven’t effected the ravishing feeling you get when you see a black and white photo. If you ask me, I believe with the revolution of colors in displaying media, the importance of black and white photography has been increased, because where ever we go, we are surrounded by different colors.

Apple Capital Spending Leaps to $8 Billion

Apple is going to plow $8 billion into capital expenditures in the next 12 months — 73 percent more than it spent last year. Where’s that money going to go?

GigaOm, referencing a UBS research note, points out that $900 million will go into Apple’s retail outlets. The company says it will open another 40 stores in the next year.

HTC profits jump 68-percent, shipments 93-percent over the last year

So much for being quietly brilliant: HTC should be shouting its impressive Q3 results from the rooftops.

HTC has had something of a Cinderella story over the past few years. The brand (which was nowhere near the household name it is now, thanks to tying its fate to Android) has become a serious contender and a big name in the mobile hardware business—big enough to tangle with Apple, although that’s bordering on passé.

Chinese Startups: Everything You Think You Know Is Wrong
