These days, the year’s best tech cars are pretty much the year’s best cars, period. You can’t build a desirable car unless it assists the driver, keeps calling hands-free, helps you stay on-course, burns as little fuel as possible, and pays attention to the environment. Not every tech advance is a true advance, however. We’ve seen “Eco” versions of cars with specially tuned engines and low-rolling-resistance tires that wouldn’t pay back their premiums in 100,000 miles of driving. Those models here are among our best tech cars.
