My 11-year-old granddaughter, Didi, got herself on Facebook by lying about her age. Her parents had forbidden this gambit, but to no avail. Didi was ratted on by her aunt, Patti, so Didi declared Aunt Patti was no longer her best friend.
The opening day’s action for Facebook was predictable. Underwriters had squeezed every last penny out of the deal for their latest best friend, Facebook. The stock churned some 500 million shares on NASDAQ, somewhat more than the size of the offering.
