USB 3.0 ports are going to get thinner and land in mobile devices by the end of the year. These ports will let customers transfer files at speeds faster (up to 100 megabytes per second) and charge their device more rapidly than current USB 2.0 ports. Laptop ports will also get an overhaul as the size of current USB ports is making it difficult to produce ultra-thin notebooks.
