Polaroid Mosaics of Celebrities by Maurizio Galimberti

Maurizio Galimberti was born in Como, Italy in 1956 and grew up in Meda. He was trained as a surveyor where he developed his rigorous point of view. As a young man, he has won many photography competitions using classic analog film, mainly working in black and white and in diapo/cibachrome with a Widelux camera. In the year 1983 his passion/ obsession with the Polaroid camera began. His long journey of research and experimentation with instant photography were driven by his love of the resulting colors. It was in the early 1990s that Galimberti left the family business in pursuit of photography as a full-time career.

Inspirational Mosaic Illustrations by Charis Tsevis

Mosaic is the art of creating images with an assemblage of small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials. It may be a technique of decorative art, an aspect of interior decoration, or of cultural and spiritual significance as in a cathedral. Making mosaic illustrations require great creativity and a vast amount of time. Charis Tsevis is an expert for this form of art.

Charis Tsevis is a visual designer based in Athens. He serves global clients including Toyota, IKEA, Best Buys, TIME, Fortune, WIRED, The Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal and many more. His work has been awarded at Epica, NPSA and ED-Awards in the US and Europe. Charis Tsevis has studied design and advertising in Milan and Athens and he now teaches Typography and Editorial Design at AKTO College, Greece. He frequently contributes to prominent publications with articles on design theory, aesthetics and cyberculture. He has also written 2 books about Digital imaging in Adobe Photoshop.
