Engadget is reporting this morning that Outlook.com is live and out of beta.
The numbers are pretty impressive.
The company just announced that the email service is no longer in beta, and that the site has racked up 60 million active users — over a third of them Gmail converts.
I find it interesting that so many Gmail users have converted. I confess to never having been an Outlook fan, but I may have to give it a try.
Microsoft reportedly is planning a massive ad campaign for Outlook.com, much like their Surface campaign. So it sounds like you’ll be seeing a lot more of Microsoft on your screen, even if you don’t sign up for the new service.
