Danielle Hughson is a veterinarian, photographer and writer living in Portland, Oregon. Her adventures in photography began when she was 12 years old and picked up her family’s 110 film camera. Since moving to the Pacific Northwest six years ago she has fallen head over heels with many things: lush mossy forests, sweeping coastlines, tumbling waterfalls and alpine meadows. She photographs primarily with a Hasselblad 500 C/M, but is known to wield a pinhole camera, a Holga and a 35mm as well. She can often be found on primitive trails in the Columbia River Gorge, on rocky ledges overlooking the Pacific Ocean, or somewhere in between. She dreams in squares of color, and when not out photographing, she’s definitely thinking about it.
