The Only Way A Microsoft-Yahoo Buy Might Possibly Make Sense

To long-time Microsoft watchers, this seems really strange. Missing out on buying Yahoo for more than $45 billion in 2008 turned out to be one of the best decisions Microsoft has ever made. Microsoft's core business is selling software, mostly to large businesses, with some business cloud computing stuff recently thrown in. Steve Ballmer has said many times over the years that Microsoft doesn't understand or want to be in the media business.
